The Minis Season is Fast Approaching!

September is here and that can only mean one thing, well lots of things actually but it also means RUGBY is back!!!!
Cries of “where’s my gumshield?”, “my boots don’t fit” from the kids and “are these my shorts?” , “my rugby shirt has shrunk!” from the coaches can be heard across the North East.

First training session is this Sunday 6 September at the Arena back pitches, 10am sharp
This means:
• Kit wise – bring boots and trainers (ground still hard), don’t forget your gumshields and water bottles
• Derek Outhwaite, Club President, will be in The Cross Bar from 10 am to midday, to take membership forms and payment, please take the opportunity to do it on the day if you haven’t done so already, you will need to pay in cash or by cheque for this.
• Subs will remain at £3 per week, please assist helpers by having the right money – we are looking into alternative methods of payment and will you updated
• Keeley and Hannah will be selling club and second hand kit (location weather dependent from 10.30 am) shorts, tops etc. – payment by cash or cheque, there will also be other kit to try on for anything else that may need ordering.
• There is a free barbecue from 10.30am for parents and the kids and coaches can have what’s left over!
• Once training is up and running I would like to speak to parents about the coming season, code of conduct, fundraising etc and address any questions.

Second training session is the following SATURDAY (not Sunday) 12 September, at the Arena, 10 am to midday, since we have the great opportunity to go and follow the First XV who are playing their first home game (sort of) at 3pm. This is now at the Arena!
All players will receive a community ticket for their parent to gain free entry to the match – let’s go and show them our support!!
