Darlington Mowden Park travel to the North West on Saturday as they look to continue their unbeaten away start to the season. Saturday's hosts Sale FC currently sit in 12th position in the league, having won 4 of their opening 9 games in National One. Three of those wins have come at home, with victories over Old Elthamians, Blackheath and Cambridge at Heywood Road, as well as a solitary away win over Canterbury.

Last weekend saw Sale fall to a narrow loss at Moseley, taking a losing bonus point from their 29-24 defeat. Mowden also took a single point from their Round 8 fixture, with a 17-24 loss to 2nd placed Rosslyn Park.

Last season saw Saturday's hosts do the double over DMP with 2 narrow wins. Their first encounter at the Arena ended in a 29-31 win for Sale after a last minute Chris Johnson conversion. The reverse fixture at Heywood Road ended in a 32-27 win for the home side, after a late second half DMP comeback fell narrowly short. Both games were high scoring affairs, with Mowden taking 2 losing bonus points on both occasions.
