Mowden Park will travel to Scotland on Saturday to take part in the annual Hawick 7s. DMP will face Biggar in their first game of the knockout tournament, and Head Coach John Newton was positive about the role of the 7s format in the Mowden calendar: "The sevens circuit is really valuable for us in a few ways. Obviously the fitness element is important, and the style of play is a massive cornerstone of our play, particularly in the backs."

The Hawick 7s is just one of numerous Sevens events for Mowden Park this year, with Chester, Newquay and London Rugby Rocks all to come this summer.
