DMP Ladies Touch Tigers played Hartlepool Rovers, Houghton Hornets, and Sunderland Flames in the last of the ladies summer touch fixtures at Houghton RFC last night.

The ladies were competitive in all of their matches against much more experienced opposition. Congratulations to Helen Gosling on scoring DMP's first ever try in their against the Sunderland Flames. There has been immense progression under our coach Pete Stentiford and a lot of ladies want to progress to our contact development squad at the start of season.

Mowden Park's Francesca Harding was delighted with the team's progress: "We have only been going 8 weeks and have a fantastic group of enthusiastic ladies. Many thanks to our captain Sarah Sowerby who was a steady leader of a new team."
