This Saturday sees the opening game for Mowden third team. After a successful season last year, finishing second in the first season playing in Candy League division two, the thirds start the new season with a friendly against Newton Aycliffe, which is to be a challenging opener.

The fixture will be the final game in the 'Team Luke's Dawn 'til Dusk' family day at Mowden. The day is in support of Luke Bell, the son of third team captain Mark 'Tank' Bell. Luke, aged 7 has been diagnosed with neuroblastoma and is currently fighting through his treatment, he puts many of us to shame with his strength and determination, so come and show your support for Luke.
