The Darlington Mowden Park Community Team are delighted to announce a new partnership with Harrowgate Hill Primary School. They join a growing number of schools and clubs working with the club, who continue to deliver sessions in the wider community.

Anne Rose, Mowden Park’s Community Manager said: “We’re incredibly thrilled to be working with Harrowgate Hill Primary School and welcome them into the Mowden Family. The school will benefit from our fantastic community coaches going into the school, getting children physically active along with inspiring the next generation of budding rugby players.”

Players and coaches from Mowden Park have been delivering sessions all week to Harrowgate Hill pupils aged from Foundation to Year 5. The Community Team also plan on returning in June to work with the school’s Year 6 students, who are currently studying for their SATs.

Jenni Bowe, Deputy Head Teacher at Harrowgate Hill, commented: “The Mowden Park Rugby Sessions have been a fantastic opportunity for the children to work with professional rugby players, it has been a real treat.”

The school’s Extended Schools Co-Ordinator Sara Lunn echoed these sentiments: “Harrowgate Hill Primary School pupils have had amazing training sessions with the Mowden Players. The Mowden players have kept the pupils fully engaged whilst learning new rugby skills.”

Due to popular demand we now have a limited number of sessions remaining for the current school year. Book by Friday 25th May and join the growing number of schools and clubs signing up to the Mowden Family.
