Mowden Park to Host "Together 21" Project this Saturday at the Arena

Mowden Park Community are delighted to be working with the Together 21 project for this weekend's National One game against Ampthill.

Together 21 is a project that the Pioneering Care Partnership has established, with parents and carers of children with Down syndrome from across the North East, to provide
“Learning, Fun and Friendship”.

Children attend with their parents and the focus is very much around supporting parents and care givers to understand the learning profile of children with Down syndrome, and help them with their learning and developmental needs.

Groups meet on a Friday morning (babies and pre-school) and Saturday morning (school age children). Over the school holidays they arrange various activities and trips to develop the children’s social skills.

Currently they are supporting around 45 children from birth to the age of 18 from across the whole of the North East who travel weekly to participate in these sessions at their base in Newton Aycliffe.
