Mowden Park in the Community are delighted to be a continued part of the Coach Core Apprenticeships Programme.

This year Coach Core will employ 20 young people in the Teesside area who have the potential of having a future in the sports industry. We will be inviting applicants to an information afternoon at the The Herlingshaw Centre on Monday 17th December and a two-day recruitment event on the 9th & 10th of January. Those who demonstrate commitment and a will to want to better themselves in this sports coaching programme will then be offered up to 15 months employment working and training for 30 hours per week on Coach Core beginning February 2019.

Mowden Park Community Manager Anne Rose commented: "We're delighted to be a part of the Coach Core programme alongside 6 other local sporting organisations. The first year of the project was hugely successful for both our apprentice and our community team, with benefits on both sides. We're looking forward to the second year of the programme and helping our next apprentice to develop their career in sport."

Driven by a desire to build upon the excitement and enthusiasm of the Games, Coach Core was launched to inspire young people through sport and create the next generation of sports coaches who will go on to inspire their communities for many more generations to come.
