Tries from Kenny Thomas, Fi Davidson, Jemima Merrin as well as a hat-trick for Fiona Dewar were enough to secure a convincing DMP cup win

The match began with both teams battling for field position, with a strong wind behind them Novo`s started to use their kicking game to turn the DMP forwards. After 15mins sustained pressure Noves finally broke with a well taken try by number 15, this seemed to give the home side a lift and they started to pile on more pressure from the restart with strong carries in midfield. DMP camped in their 22m making multiple tackles around the breakdown but in the end the number 8 find s a spce to crash over close to the posts for a converted Try taking the scores to 10-0.

This seemed to spark DMP into life and with crisp handling the backs started to challenge the wide channels with the forwards carrying hard across the gainline. Then with a minute to go before half time loose head prop Jaz Bell should her Flyhalf skills with a
Little kick through form Jemima Merrin to score an unconverted try in the corner.

DMP made 4 changes at half time which seem to bring a greater energy to the team and within 2mins of the restart Fiona Dewar found her way to the try line for of her three tries and after great work form the backs. This was the pattern of the second half with Dmp moving
the big strong Novo`s pack around and it wasn`t long before Kenny Thomas found her way to the tryline after some great interplay for a converted try 10-19. DMP had the bit between their teeth and start to put some nice flowing moves together which resulted in another 2 tries to Fiona Dewar who completed her hat trick to cap off a fine individual performance. Novo`s didn`t give up and can back strong with their forwards making some powerful runs into the heart of DMPS Midfield to create space for the backs to score and excellent handling down the line.

With the game coming to the end there was time for one last score from DMP returning player form a long term injury Fi Davidson spoted space in behind the Novo`s defence and with a kick through for Fiona Dewar who won the race to the ball to kick the ball on again for Fi to score a weel deserved try.

There were some notable performances from young loose head prop Jaz bell showing subline skills, Fi Davidson showing great vision on her return and Fiona Dewar expectational speed and footwork. The game was a great test for the such a youg side who passed the test against a strong Novo`s side.
