Darlington Mowden Park Bulls finished 3rd in the opening weekend of the BT Super Series - Division 1. The Super Series, which is the highest level of club competition, is contested over a series of league weekends across the season. The first of those weekends was contested in Leicester, with the Bulls playing 5 games across 2 days.

The Bulls started the weekend in perfect fashion, winning all 3 of their Saturday games. Wins over Gaelic Warriors (52-44), London Storm (48-41) and London Crusaders (46-39) put them through to Sunday's semi finals. A tight semi-final against Solent Sharks resulted in a narrow 56-53 defeat, setting up a 3rd place playoff the Crusaders. A 45-36 win secured the third place finish after a great weekend to rugby.
