It looks like a promising year for girls' rugby, with numbers picking up across the clubs in the North. Durham will be teaming up with Cumbria again this year for County fixtures and trials took place in Penrith on 15th and 22nd September.

There was a great turn out from the Mowden girls and congratulations go to the following players who have been selected for the County squad:

Megan Ryder, Kat Wingate, Hannah Bailey, Amy Hook, Sophie Slater, Alex Friskney, Lucy Hewitt and Erin Alexander.

First fixture - County Festivel at Vale of Lune RFC on 6th October.
