Antiquarians Tour 2015

The antiquarians tour takes place 29th to the 31st May, with 42 of us joining 13 other teams from around Europe in the tournament held in Saint Savin, south of Lyon.

Tourists are to meet in the cross bar from 0800 on Friday 29th May, where a liquid breakfast will fuel the coach journey to Liverpool Airport. The flight departs at 1340, arriving in Geneva aroun 1700 local time, at which point we will join Novocastrians RFC on a coach journey to Bourgoin-Jallieu. Tour t-shirts will have been provided prior to departure, and these shall form the dress code for the Friday evening. After checking in at the highly acclaimed Mister Bed hotel, we will meet our host and set off on an evening of drinking, dancing and ice skating.

Having made the most of a full and decent nights sleep, we wwill be collected by coach from the hotel at 0830, for registration and coffe at Saint Savin RFC at 9am. The tournament commences at 1000, and breaks for lunch at 1300, where we will be provided with a 2 course meal served with wine. The afternoon games commence at 1430, finishing around 1700 before the awards ceremony takes place. We will then return to the hotel briefly to shower and change before returning to the rugby club for the evening. Dress code shall be shirt and club tie. The evening will be spent at the rugby club with a 3 course meal and exceptional live entertainment, before returning to the hotel by coach some time during the early hours.

Sunday will consist of a fully attended court session, before our coach journey to Geneva airport at around 1300. All being well we will arrive back at DMPRFC for around 2130.
