PREVIEW - DMP Sharks v Bristol Ladies

7 months ago By Tom Bulmer

Bristol Ladies are the opposition this week as the Sharks return to Tyrrell's Premier 15s action!

Bristol currently sit 4 points ahead of the Sharks, having won 3 of their opening 8 games. This has seen them accrue 17 points, taking them to 6th place in the Tyrrell’s Premier 15s table. Saturday's visitors have recorded wins over Gloucester-Hartpury, Firwood Waterloo and Worcester, leaving them 2 places above the Sharks.

Tyrrell's Premier 15s

1 Harlequins Ladies 40
2 Saracens Women 39
3 Wasps FC Ladies 28
4 Gloucester-Hartpury Women's RFC 25
5 Loughborough Lightning 21
6 Bristol Ladies 17
7 Richmond FC 14
8 Darlington Mowden Park Sharks 13
9 Firwood Waterloo Ladies 5
10 Worcester Valkyries 0

Last time out Bristol faced Loughborough Lightning, while the Sharks traveled to league leaders Saracens. Bristol lost narrowly in a close fought game, whilst the Sharks went down 44-19 at Allianz Park. The Sharks will take many positives from their performance however, having scored more points than anyone else in the league against a frugal Sarries defence.

The Sharks will be hoping for 3 home wins on the bounce, having beaten Loughborough Lightning and Worcester Valkyries in weeks 6 & 7 respectively. With a host of international players returning for both sides, we're all set for what promises to be an entertaining game!

Match tickets are available on the day from both the CrossBar and the South West Turnstiles. Tickets for the double header will be priced at just £10 for adults, £8 for concessions and as always, kids go FREE. Fans only attending the second game can see the Sharks in action for £2, with kids once again going free.
