A losing bonus point from the Sharks' trip to Loughborough.

Loughborough recorded their third straight win on Saturday in a narrow victory over the travelling Sharks. A close-fought first half saw the Sharks lead 0-3 at the break, with a Katy Daley-McLean penalty the only thing separating the two sides. The second period was much more open, with the lead changing hands several times. It was the hosts who regained the lead shortly after the break through Carys Williams, who's try was converted to give Lightning a 7-3 lead. DMP hit back soon after through Rianna Manson, fresh of her England U20s debut in the week. The Number 8's score made it 8-7 to the Sharks, before Loughborough regained the lead with another try from Williams, with fly half Jones converting once more. The home side seemingly put the game to bed on 77 minutes through a converted Lizzie Adams score. The Sharks weren't done yet however as Claudia Macdonald continued her rich vein of tryscoring form with a late score to earn the Sharks a losing bonus point.

The Sharks' next Premier 15s game sees them travel to bottom side Worcester Valkyries on Saturday 3rd March as they look to get back to winning ways.
