First up, the Sharks are at home again this weekend playing Worcester Valkyries (2pm KO), Saturday 4th November. The Sharks look to keep up their winning ways after last week’s victory over Loughborough Lightning, 16-10. Momentum is in the Sharks favour and Worcester Valkyries are yet to win this season.

Only a few days remaining until a huge firework display returns to Darlington at the Northern Echo Arena, this Sunday 5th November. Spectators will be able to watch the display from the comfort of their seats inside the Arena, as well as enjoying live bands from a huge stage. Tickets available from both the Arena and the Dolphin Centre, pop in or call on 01325 350267. Tickets are priced at £8 for adults, £4 for U16s and £20 for a family ticket of 2 adults and up to 2 children. A limited number of parking passes will be available priced at £5 each.

The following Saturday 11th November is Remembrance Day and we are celebrating it at the Arena with our very own Forces Day. The men’s 1st XV will be entertaining Rosslyn Park at home as they look to keep up their undefeated run at the Arena. On the day, there will be plenty entertainment a guard of honour, live military band playing, a military bugler playing the last post. Armed Vehicles, Weapon Exhibits, Pipes and Drums and Merchandise Stalls will all be on display prior to the 2pm KO, as well as many surprises on the day. We will have special guests Hero Bear and Army Bear marching around for the children to meet and get photos with.

Moving away from the rugby, the Arena will be holding a Moonlight Drive-In Cinema in the car park. From Monday 20th – Sunday 26th November they will be showing a range of films on a huge screen in the Arena car park with the audio transmitted through your car radio! A fantastic opportunity to experience the full American drive in cinema experience.

The final event at the Arena in November is the Durham school boys Yr12/13 County Cup Finals. On Wednesday 22nd November, our very own QE 6th Form Academy team playing will be playing against other schools and colleges from the Durham County area.
