A look ahead to Saturday's visit to 4th placed Blackheath RFC at Well Hall (3pm Kick Off)

Blackheath Rugby Club was founded in 1858 and is the oldest open rugby club in the world since becoming open in 1862. They moved grounds to Well Hall from Rectory Field at the beginning of the 2016/17 season and finished in 7th position, 3 places above Mowden with 6 more points. Their average attendance for last season was almost 700 supporters.

So far this season, Blackheath sit on the same number of wins and losses as Mowden (6 wins and 1 Loss) but have three less bonus points leaving them on 28 points in 4th position. Blackheath’s top points scorer is Joe Tarrant (Fly Half) with 66 points and their top try scorer is Leo Fielding (Full Back) with 4 tries.

This weekend will be a tough affair for Mowden but they have regained momentum after an impressive second half display against Old Elthamians to get the bonus point win (36-21).
