An action-packed February kicks off at the Arena this Saturday 3rd with the DMP Sharks taking on Firwood Waterloo ladies in the Tyrrell’s Premier 15’s (2pm KO). A fantastic day out with tickets priced at only £2 for adults and under 16’s go FREE. The men’s 1st XV travel away this weekend but will return to the Arena on Saturday 10th February as they face top 4 challengers Blackheath (2pm KO).

Prior to the Blackheath game is the annual North East Rugby festival for U10-U12 teams. The tournament is before the Mowden Park home game, and every child taking part will receive 1 x free U16 ticket and 1 x free Adult ticket per child participating in the festival for the Mowden 1st XV game. (Additional adults will need to pay £5).

The following day, Sunday 11th is the North-East Brides Wedding Show at the Arena. From 11am you will be able to visit 70 different wedding suppliers across 3 floors. Every Bride attends will receive a free House of Fraser goodie bag. Entry is free and parking is also free.

From Monday 12th – Thursday 15th February is the school’s February half term and we are running 3 different camps that the children can enjoy. The first camp is held at Catterick Garrison and is in partnership with the Royal Dragoon Guards, this 3-day camp (Monday 12th-Wednesday 14th) will offer activity for the Garrison community. The camp will be led by 1st XV players, who will be sharing their expertise to the children. Sessions will be divided into age specific sessions. The camps aim to create a fun environment focusing on all round player development. This camp is aimed at children aged between U7-U16. Each day will start at 9am and finish around 3pm.

On Tuesday 13th February, we have a Rugby Rugrats camp, which is aimed at boys and girls aged 4-6 years old. Rugrats rugby is a non-contact rugby specific play programme providing toddler and children rugby classes to help develop your child. The sessions will take your child on a journey teaching them how to pass, catch, kick, run as well as take turns and work as a team. Rugrats sessions will run from 9am-11:30 am.

The final Half Term camp option is the Outdoor Adventure camp. This 2-day camp is on Wednesday 14th & Thursday 15th, pick up time from the Arena is 9am and children will return to the Arena at 3:30pm. Children will take part in two days of Bush Craft and Outdoor Adventure and this will be delivered by adventure specialists - Outdoor Ambition.

The final fixture of February at the Arena is the men’s 1st XV playing in the hugely anticipated rearranged fixture against league leaders Coventry. This will take place on Saturday 24th February with kick off time of 2pm. We hope to see all the Mowden family down supporting our 1st XV in what should be a very thrilling encounter.
