A comfortable first half saw Mowden change ends leading 19 -3, with tries from Mark Bell, Lee Ratcliff and Matthew Morfoot. However the visitors failed to get going in the second half, falling behind 23 -19. Midway through the second half, Mowden centre Chris Hyde received a yellow card, which seemed to provide the motivation required to kick start the travelling team into action. The final 20 minutes saw an attacking team performance that any team at this level would have struggled to withstand. Further tries from Mark Bell and Matthew Morfoot, as well as scores from Luke Edwardson, Chris Strong and man of the match Scott Peacock, saw Mowden secure their place in a second cup final this season. The league cup final is on May 2nd, at Acklam Rugby Club, against Hartlepool Rovers 3rds.
