Tynedale rugby player Stu Ridley has recently been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour and given approximately six months to live. However Stu is very strong and determined to play rugby again so he has vowed to battle and beat his illness.
As a result and to support Stu in his fight, Percy Park RFC together with Slaley Hall are organising a Golf Day on Thursday 14th May 2015 to raise money to help cover any unforeseen medical costs he may encounter. Any unused money will be donated to the Brain Tumour Charity and to rugby's Wooden Spoon Charity which supports disadvantaged and disabled children.
Teams will consist of 4 players, Max handicap for men 24 and 32 for ladies. Format of the day will be a stableford competition With a shotgun start at 1pm on the Priestman Championship Course.
