Rosslyn Park RFC are the distinguished visitors to the Northern Echo Arena this weekend.

Rosslyn Park RFC, founded in 1879, are currently lying in 7th place in National League One, with 54 league points, a total which includes 7 try bonus points and 5 losing bonus points. They have won 10, drawn 1, lost 7 games and have a hefty points total difference of +163 (For: 504, Against: 341).

Top points scorer is Harry Leonard with 126 points and top try scorer is Andrew Henderson with 6 crossings of the whitewash.

Rosslyn Park RFC have won their last 4 games, albeit that 3 of those were at home, the latest being last weekend, where they overpowered Old Albanians RFC by 35 - 17.

Prior to that, the wins were as follows:

17 - 10 at home to Plymouth Albion RFC
14 - 32 away at Cambridge RFC
51 - 14 at home to Blaydon RFC

Their last defeat was on the road in early December 2016, when they visited the Brantingham Park HQ of Hull Ionians RFC, losing 16 - 14.

In the corresponding fixture back at their Roehampton HQ on the first day of October 2016, Mowden were beaten 36 - 16, which afforded the home side their first win in 5 games, as they'd previously experienced a disastrous start to the new 2016/17 season, losing the first 4 games.

Matters have significantly improved to date, Rosslyn Park RFC only losing 3 games since those days and currently in a rich vein of form.

To a slightly lesser extent, DMPRFC have mirrored today's opponents, recovering somewhat from a poor run of six consecutive losing games from mid October to late November 2016.

DMPRFC are unbeaten in their last 4 games:

20 - 20 at home to Coventry RFC
17 - 24 away at Blaydon RFC
14 - 12 at home to Ampthill & District RFC

Last weekend at Cambridge RFC, the run continued with a deserved 20 - 25 at Volac Park, with tries coming from Jamie BARNARD, Simon UZOKWE, Josh BRAGMAN and Joe CRAGGS, with BRAGMAN kicking a conversion and a penalty.

Injured players returned to the squad against Cambridge RFC, with flanker Simon UZOKWE and lock Jack PAYNE figuring prominently in a very combative encounter.

Let's hope for decent weather and that we all witness a competitive game of rugby,
with mid-table security or higher, at least the projected aim of both clubs.
