Charity bike ride in aid of the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation to take place in May!

Darlington Mowden Park and SG Petch have teamed up to organise two charity bike rides to raise money for the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, set up by Doddie Weir (the former Lions, Scotland and Newcastle Falcons star), who was diagnosed with MND in 2017. The rides will take place on Sunday 5th May 2019, starting and finishing at the Darlington Arena. The 100km will start at 8am, and the 50km at 10am, with routes around North Yorkshire. There will also be an array of family activities taking place at the Arena throughout the day.

The idea was the brainchild of Peter Rees, an SG Petch customer and Mowden member whose friend Roland is also suffering from MND and was a keen cyclist - hence the event is called Roland's Ride.

The cost of entry is £50 payable online, with this money going direct to the Foundation. Each participant will receive a limited edition cycling jersey for taking part in the event.
