Darlington Mowden Park are delighted to announce that Kill, Riley, Maud and Uzokwe have all re-signed.

As the start of pre-season nears 4 more players commit to Darlington Mowden Park RFC for the forthcoming season here at the Darlington Arena.
Following 3 seasons of on/off rugby due to injuries, Liam Riley, who has come through the clubs mini, junior and senior section is looking forward to getting a solid pre-season behind him and once again getting stuck in to the season. Riley, an aggressive and hard hitting back row will look to cement his position at 7 against stiff competition, something he has never been afraid of doing.

Tom Kill and Joe Maud will once again bring their own unique styles to Mowden’s game, Kill a strong pacey winger who is a proven finisher when he gets the opportunity and Joe a mountain of a man in the back row disruptive on opposition ball and a strong ball carrier in attack.

Simon who himself caught the eye of DMP coaches in the 2013/14 season county championship when he starred for Eastern Counties will this year set himself in the role of hooker as well as being utilised in the propping division. Uzokwe was part of the Eastern Counties side that competed at Twickenham in May and will continue his studies at Sunderland Universities.

Danny Brown, Head Coach said “We were very keen to re-sign all 4 of the lads not just because of their huge ability but also their attitude and commitment to the club. Every time each one of these boys take the field you know you will get nothing but 100% and it is the same with them on the training field. Its infectious and other lads thrive from it. Special mention must go to Liam who has had a torrid time of injuries over the last few seasons, he has worked tirelessly in his rehab and games since injury and we are all looking forward to seeing him do what he does best and that is enjoy his rugby, I can see a new lease of life in him.”
