On Sat 5th April Mowden Parks Jiri (George) Lacina gained his Senior International Honours when he was selected to play in the Czech Republic’s 2015 Rugby World Cup qualifier against Germany.

With an initial squad of 50 players George was selected in the 23 man team to play at Heidelberg, Germany. On this occasion Germany finished the match victories with a 76:12 win on home soil.

George who studies at Gateshead Collage has only recently joined Mowden Park and as he has only recently turned 18 is certainly a player to keep an eye on.

He will aiming to be involved in the Czech Republic’s last game when they welcome Moldova on the 26th April.
