A look ahead to Saturday as DMP welcome league leaders Hartpury College to the Northern Echo Arena

In a return to league action, Hartpury College RFC bring an ultra-impressive record into this weekend's game. They have won all of their 25 games so far this season, in an unblemished feat of consistency, which has seen them amass 123 league points, which includes 23 try bonus points.

Their unprecedented run has seen them scores 1214 game points, with just 432 points against, giving a points difference of +782 points, scoring 165 tries in the process.
Their top points scorer, who certainly seems to have had plenty of opportunities to practice, has scored 221 points and leads the league table. Hartpury have 5 players in the top ten try scorers in the league and in order they are Jonas Mikalcius - 1st (26), Luke Eves - 2nd (17), Jake Polledri - 6th (13) and two players Steve Leonard and Ben Vellacot, who both have scored 11 tries and share 10th spot alongside our own Adam RADWAN.

Prior to last week's sabbatical for all National League One sides, Hartpury College RFC were at home to Old Albanians RFC, who they beat comfortably 57 - 21.

From a DMPRFC viewpoint, the 'nightmare' in November 2016, when going down 74 - 0 to our visitors today on their patch - and we were lucky to get 'nil' - was a low point of the season, but bizarrely thanks to that 'drubbing' so to speak, the last of 6 consecutive defeats in a particularly 'bad run', DMRFC 's season has picked up since with 7 wins, only 4 defeats and 1 draw.

In DMPRFC's last run out, to come second away to Blackheath RFC (26 - 21) after being 21 - 0 down and then leveling the scores, before going down to a controversial late try, was a 'bitter pill' to swallow, as a draw would have given DMPRFC their just reward. However, in league rugby, fairy tale endings are rare.

It is hoped this time around, that DMPRFC can muster up some competitive rugby for the League Champions, who probably will want to see out the remainder of the season unbeaten and will also be anxious to add to their totals.
