Fearn & Barnard commit to club

Darlington Mowden Park are delighted to announce that both Darren Fearn and Jamie Barnard have re-signed for the club ahead of the 2015/16 season.

Fearn has signed a three year deal with the club. Having originally joined the club in February the loose head prop brings a wealth of Rugby experience to Mowden Park having played premiership rugby with Sale Sharks and Newcastle Falcons.

As part of Darren’s role at Mowden Park, he is also an integral member of the community team delivering activity within the local schools.

Community Manager Anne Rose said: “We are delighted that Darren has re-signed for another season with Mowden Park.

“Darren has experience of community coaching from his previous clubs and he is highly thought of from our local schools with which he has coached in.

“Darren has been involved in delivering to local primary, secondary and SEN schools. We look forward to him working in the community again this season.”

Also signing on for another year is full back Jamie Barnard. Into his second year at the club the former Hull and Nottingham Rugby player will combine playing with his role as the clubs Strength & Conditioning coach.

Head Coach John Newton said: “Jamie is a great professional and a fantastic Rugby player. To also have him as our strength & conditioning coach shows how well respected he is around the club, and the players respond fantastically well to him”
