DONCASTER KNIGHTS RFC PREVIEW

Founded in 1875, Doncaster Knights RFC play in the RFU Championship and in the 2015/16 finished 2nd in the league.

The 'Knights' lost the premiership play-off game series to Bristol RFC.

Their pre-season has included a defeat at the hands of Premiership outfit Newcastle Falcons (34 - 12) at Kingston Park and last weekend a fine win at home against a Canada 'A' side (20 - 16), which included our own Matt HEATON.

It goes without saying that this will be a stern test for DMPRFC prior to the start of another National League One season next week away at Hull Ionians RFC.

Knights may include ex-DMPRFC players in lock Glenn Young, hooker Dave NELSON (both on loan from the Falcons) and centre Dave Fitzpatrick.
