Mowden Park will then host Ayr at The Northern Echo Arena on Saturday 20th August (Kick Off: 3pm) before rounding off pre-season preparations with a trip to Castle Park to face Doncaster Knights on Saturday 27th August (Kick Off 3pm)

Coach Garry Law said of the fixtures: “We played Hawick last year at The Northern Echo Arena so it’ll be good to go up to Scotland and return the favour. The game will be a good test for the lads.

“Ayr will be another good test. They’ve been at the top of the Scottish Premiership for a number of seasons. They play good fast rugby so it should be an open quick game.

“Doncaster were losing championship play-off finalists last season so it’ll be a tough test for the boys and we can expect a physical game especially in the pack.

“All three games should put us in good stead for the start of the season.”

The Annual Mowden Park Pre-season Family Fun Day will coincide with the pre-season fixture against Ayr and will be free for everyone to attend. Further details regarding the day will be released in due course.
