Despite a last day defeat to old rivals, Blaydon, Mowden 2nds finished the Candy League season in 2nd spot, one below their hosts.
With the title already in the bag, Blaydon fully deserved their 27 - 10 victory over a depleted Mowden side who showed courage in abundance against their bigger opponents.
