Join the Pride on a life-changing adventure

I can honestly say that the whole experience was deeply enriching at so many levels. We also had a lot of fun!
- Piers Mitchell

We are Bhubesi Pride Foundation, a UK registered, rugby-for-good charity. BPF has been working in Africa since 2012, making a real difference to young lives using rugby as a tool for education and social change. Coaching with BPF is all about sustainability and legacy as we assemble teams of enthusiastic, talented coaches and travel through 9 African countries every year.

Beginning in Kenya and continuing to Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa and Mozambique, we work in schools and local communities –

• Enabling a sporting chance for thousands of children
• Empowering local teachers and coaches
• Initiating sustainable legacy projects
• Professionally developing participating volunteer coaches from all over the world

Someone you may know…Piers Mitchell joins the Pride

In 2017 Piers Mitchell, a long-term advocate of BPF’s mission and objectives, joined the Pride in Nairobi as Project Manager. Piers was integral to the launch of the 2017 expedition and played a major part in shaping a strong culture for the entire project.

Piers commented:
“I had known Richard Bennett, Founder and MD of BPF, for some years and long admired his work in Africa. We also had a connection as I had worked on a rugby project in Rwanda – so when Richard asked if I’d be interested in Project Managing part of the 2017 expedition, I was delighted!”

“Ingrained in all BPF does are the Pride values: Professionalism, Respect, Integrity, Discipline and Enjoyment – which sums up rugby values – a work ethic to live by for volunteer coaches and easy to communicate to the children and young people they coach.”

“I can honestly say that the whole experience was deeply enriching at so many levels. We also had a lot of fun!”
