Mowden travelled to Acklam in the league cup quarter final looking to avenge their defeat earlier in the season. This they did with their strongest performance of the season, matching attacking flair with an impressive defence. Tries in the first half from Nathan Welch, Scott Peacock, Tramaine Williamson, James Leonard and Mark Bell saw the visitors lead 31-0 at half time. In the second half captain Mark Bell scored his second with Alan Evans completing the scoring to set up a semi final meeting with Stockton 2nds next week. Man of the match was awarded to Carl Trotter.
