Darlington Mowden Park are delighted to announce that Gareth Nesbit, Garry Law and Ralph Appleby have re-signed for the 2015/16 season.

Having joined us in 2014 from Westoe, Gareth Nesbit is signing on for his second year with the club. Nez, as he is more commonly known, has been a big influence in his first season both on and off the pitch at Mowden. With a wealth of experience, Gareth, has proved himself to be a leader on the pitch having stepped in when Cameron Mitchell was unavailable. Having played 24 games this season in National 1 Gareth had shown he can compete and more at this level.

Meanwhile Garry Law is staying on for his second season with the club having enjoyed a very good first season having finished up as club top points scorer with 115. Following a wealth of experience from his time at Border Reviers, Viadana and Lazio, Law has played a key part in training and also helped develop those around him. As well as a goal kicker, Garry brings a physical edge to his game upon which other players follow. Garry will have a hand in the clubs attacking patterns this year as he works alongside the current coaching set up as well as playing for the club.

We are also delighted to announce Ralph Appleby will be re-signing for his 5th year at Mowden following a rise from youngster and developing to one of senior members of the squad. Ralph is the most mobile of props and his work rate around the pitch is superb. Having originally come to DMP as a loose head, Appleby had added tight head to his bow. Ralph has become a key part of the squad with a great attitude that benefits the club however Ralph has a competitive side to his personality and will once again be trying to cement his spot in the team.

Speaking of the signings head coach John Newton said "Signing these three players was key for us as we were aware of certain players having to move on for genuine reasons, these three lads epitomise what the club is about and I am sure that all three will want to see the club progress once again this year."
