Mowden look to make it 4 wins in a row when they visit Volac Park on Saturday (3pm Kick Off).

Darlington Mowden Park travel to Cambridge this weekend in Round 9 of the 2021/22 National One season. Garry Law's side will be searching for their fourth consecutive league win, while Cambridge will also be looking to extend their recent unbeaten run.

Saturday's hosts currently sit in 7th spot in the table, 1 point ahead of Mowden Park. Cambridge have won 3 of their opening 7 fixtures, drawing 1 and losing 3. Their form of late has been impressive, having gone unbeaten so far in October. Last weekend saw them run out 30-32 winners over Chinnor thanks to tries from Matt Hema, Kieran Frost, Ben Brownlie and a brace from Kwaku Asiedu.

Mowden also enjoyed a bonus point win in Round 8 with a 29-23 victory over Rams at the Arena. Tries from Warren Seals, Morgan Passman, Josh Crickmay and Freddie Lockwood helped DMP to maximum points and extend their winning run to 3 games following victories over Bishop's Stortford and Chinnor.

DMP have faced Cambridge 7 times in National One competition since their promotion from National Two South in 2016. Mowden have won 4 of their previous encounters, with 1 draw and 2 Cambridge wins. The last contest between the two sides ended in a 17-17 draw in the 2019/20 season - with a late Ben Penfold penalty ensuring the game ended with 2 points a piece.

This weekend's game promises to be another closely fought encounter between two sides looking to climb the league table. You can follow live updates via the Cambridge Twitter page - @camrufc
